The association is a non- profit, non-partisan association of public health officers in Ethiopia. The main emphasis of the association includes; capacity building, member benefits, carrier structure, and other related businesses of member public health officers and further contribute towards the betterment of health sector development in Ethiopia. PHOA-E provides opportunities for the discussion of public health issues in the country and advocates for evidence-based and sustainable public health programs, policies, research, and funding. Duties and Responsibilities: Managing the budget: forecasting future income and expenses of the association, creating budgets and balance sheets, and ensuring that spending is within budget limits. Preparing financial reports of the association on regular bases : Prepares reports and documents covering accounting transactions for management review Conducting financial transactions: oversees all financial transactions of the association , including issuing payments, collecting debts, and investing money Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and laws: Ensures that accurate records are kept by standard practice. Finance comply with all relevant in country as well as donors rules and regulations. This includes ensuring that financial records are accurate and up-to-date. Using accounting software: keep an accurate record of all internal and external business financial transactions and facilitate financial audits wherever necessary.
